The Event - Canadian Open Synchronized Swimming Championships 2005

The Dates: May 12 th - May 15 th , 2005

Newmarket Synchro's Tier 7 Combo of Mandy Corbett, Jennifer Dwyer, Tamara Elson, Danielle Hoey, Kendra Jacobs, Jacquelyn King, Sarah Stroud and Laura Towsley were ready.

Our Team knew the competition would be very strong, the best that Canada has to offer, as well as some international routines, so they set their sights on achieving personal bests!

A team favorite motto was "GO BIG OR GO HOME"! . and BIG they did !!

Not only did they swim a personal/team best in prelims - they delivered one even better in finals, and we knew they gave it their all. Quoted from their Coach MJ, "words such as pride, satisfaction and respect don't begin to express my feelings as I watched these athletes swim their Combo for the last time." "And just when I thought it couldn't get any better - more best ever swims for Danielle and Kendra came in their Technical and Free Duet routines."
