York Synchro's Tier 6 Open Team of Jocelyn Bourrie, Holly Caldwell, Ali Davies, Melanie Fairbarn, Lea Gucciardi, Katie Hildebrant, Erin Milner, Kaitlin Sibbald and Elora Vink captured the gold medal this weekend to make it 2 years in a row. With 5 rookies from Tier 4 making the jump this season it was not a sure thing. The team was second at the Provincial Championships in February and knew they would have to pull off a spectacular swim to retain their title. And that's exactly what they did!!!!

In their first year of National level competition our Tier 6 – 15 & Under Team of Catherine Bourrie, Stephanie Bourrie, Sarah Condie, Shelby Harding, Tori Kleinstueber, Nadine Krelove, Celyn Oliver, Alina Ryssina and Lisa Sanders placed 11 th in their division. A great start to a long and successful career for these young athletes.

Finishing out the weekend our Tier 6 Combo Team of Catherine & Jocelyn Bourrie, Holly Caldwell, Ali Davies, Melanie Fairbarn, Lea Gucciardi, Katie Hildebrant, Erin Milner, Patricia Moore and Elora Vink placed 6 th . Duet of Ali Davies & Erin Milner placed 5 th , Catherine & Jocelyn Bourrie 10 th and Holly Caldwell & Lea Gucciardi placed 13 th . And in compulsory figures Ali Davies placed 4 th in the 16 and Over event and also qualified for the final phase of the Tier 7 Provincial Team Selection.
