Summer is now over and it's time to get back to SYNCHRO!!!! All of our summer programs this season have been an amazing success with new records set for both attendance and enthusiasm. Thank you to our parents and athletes for your support and commitment to Newmarket Synchro and our evolving programs. Our Week 1 Camp was a first this summer, offering of a half day Recreational Camp combined with our Competitive Conditioning Camp, and it produced awesome results!!! Camp 1 had almost 30 athletes in attendance. By the end of the week, all recreational attendees successfully passed their Star Level 1, and ended the program with a lively Show and Tell Watershow for all their very supportive family and friends. The Competitive swimmers made great inroads in their pre-season conditioning, and were in great shape for our Week 2 Competitive Try-Out Camp.

Camp 2 started bright and early Monday morning, with a very busy registration desk for our new and returning swimmers, with almost 50 in attendance. All the coaches were ready and very excited! A great schedule of combined land and water stations, proved to work exceptionally well to balance all of the disciplines required in this amazing sport. Mina provided awesome Pilates program for our competitive swimmers, and the coaches made every workstation a challenge. New friends, new skills and new equipment made for a great week. There was so much energy and excitement in the air!!!

By Friday, we were celebrating the end of summer and the beginning of a new competitive season. We had a Club party for the athletes and coaches on Friday afternoon, saying our farewells and bidding Coach Kendra and Coach Jenn all the best as they embark on their new lives at university. We missed Coach Sarah who was unable to attend, but was certainly there in our best wishes. It was a very emotional time for all, and amongst the tears and the sadness of the goodbyes, were the joys and fond recollections and fun in the wonderful memories that will remain a part of Newmarket Synchro's history forever. The Watershow Finale was the crowning of a new beginning of the many new firsts before us, and the athletes looked fantastic.

Highlighting the week, was welcoming our new and returning coaches and athletes with a celebration of anticipation of the great new season that lies ahead. We have an amazing season in store and we look forward to the coming days as teams are put in place to begin their journey. Newmarket Synchro will be setting lots of new records this year so we invite you to join the fun and excitement, and support our amazing young athletes who make this club so great.
